ABOUT

Do The Earth is a blog about organics and sustainable living. Its purpose is to introduce you, whether knowledgable or curious or against eco-friendly living, to the reasons why we choose this way of life.

Overall, we seek to improve the lives of others and teach you how to make a healthy, fun, and fulfilling life a reality.

We will cover everything from sustainable living in the news, to product reviews, to “why”s and “how-to”s, to easy and fun recipes using farmers markets finds, and everything in between.

WHO I AM

My name is Jenny. I didn’t care much for anything green until I saw the documentary “Food, Inc.” during a college class in Spring of 2011. After I saw where our food really came from, I couldn’t shake the images or the ideas. Slowly, I began to do more research and ask more questions. If all of these bad chemicals are in our food and our environment, how can we even question where this immense increase of sickness and disease is coming from?

My journey thus far has been comprised of leaps, bounds, and baby steps. I’ve switched over to eating a diet of nearly 98% organic food (it’s not always easy!), all of my bath and beauty products are free of parabens, sulfates, and a bunch of other nasty stuff, and I’m moving into natural and homeopathic solutions to sickness and physical ailments. Since this transformation, I no longer feel guilty about what I eat, and my body feels great! It makes sense that we need to show love to the earth if we expect its produce to show love to us. It’s my goal to share my journey and knowledge with others to introduce them and encourage them to pursue a healthier, more energetic, and more rewarding lifestyle.
